Stevens Industries, Inc. is pleased to welcome Sean McWherter as the new Regional Sales Representative for the Stevens Advantage casework and millwork division. He will be actively pursuing new projects in the education field, covering the state of Texas.
McWherter is well-versed in construction and casework from many angles. For more than a decade, McWherter has been involved in the Lone Star state's construction and casework industry. His experience with casework, and a strong laboratory background made him an asset to the many education industry professionals he assisted.
McWherter is passionate about his work and new position, stating, "More than trying to sell, I try to help. Contractors are concerned about gaps in scope, and I work to put a complete package in front of them. It doesn't just benefit me, the sales professional; it helps the contractor and architect confidently choose me and my team to successfully complete their project."
Early in his career McWherter worked within the casework sales industry. After several years in that profession, he transitioned to a new role and a new challenge. He joined a commercial general contracting company and gained a wealth of knowledge as a project manager. His experiences there gave him insight into the construction realm from the ground up, scheduling crews, budgeting projects, and planning with architects. He has worked with subcontractors, and in the manufacturing sector. His past project involvement is diverse and interesting. He had the opportunity to be a project manager for renovations on Solider Field, home of the Chicago Bears, Shell Oil Company Deer Park Lab Facility at Shell Oil World Headquarters, Lackland Air Force Base's Working Dog Facility, UT MD Anderson Cancer Center Research Building, and the University of Texas CCSB Building. The range of his knowledge will prove useful in his new role for Stevens Advantage.
